But I’m an American, therefore….

Got sent to Australia for business twice (one was a 3 month trip). Seemed locals couldn’t tell me enough about all the nasty creepy crawlies that live there. Seemed to me they were right proud of that fact. Never did see a Sydney Funnel-Web Spider except for the ones encased in resin for the tourists to buy.

There is a self preservation advantage in learning to identify things that will kill you and how they do it.

In Australia, you can do all of those things.
