Cathy: I was gone for a week! How can there be no messages? How could no one call? How could he not call?? Did he know I was gone so he didn't call? Did he call and not leave a message? Did he call and think he left a message, but the machine is broken? Is the whole machine broken except the illuminated zero? Or did he just not call?? Did everyone not call?? What's everyone doing that they're too busy to call??! Why do they call it an answering machine when all it ever gives me are questions?
