I have a better question – Since there are only eight male characters in the strip (B.C., Peter, Thor, Wiley, Clumsy, Curls, Grog, and an unnamed guru that appears every now and then), and five of them are in today’s strip, who are “our boys” fighting?
Don’t ask me I don’t give a d@mn, next stop is Vietnam, and it’s 5,6,7 open up the pearly gates, there ain’t no time to wonder why, whoopy we’re all gonna die.

Rich people decided it’s better to keep a big army on payroll to fight “wars for profit”, instead of trying to draft people.

They are fighting for freedom, the freedom to carry a sign, be a fanatic, and protest the very fight for freedom.
