I have those moments, too, on occasion. Today, after two nearly solid weeks of rain, I saw the sun shining through the new leaves on my lilac bush, as they were pushed around by the wind. Lovely.
Being a person with the major feels is not for the faint of heart, and as hard as it can be at times, I wouldn’t trade it in. The depth and breadth of my emotions and the experiential quality it imbibes on life is a gift, even though it feels other wise at times. The older I get, the more I realize most people just don’t experience the world the way I do. It’s hard, but at this point I can’t imagine living in a more bleak, less rich emotional world. I think it would drive me crazy.
It’s funny, many in society would characterize us as weak and less than or somehow broken, but the truth is, most people wouldn’t last a week in shoes like ours. It would be too much for them. They have no idea the strength we possess, the legacy we hold. I hope this does not sound conceited or ego driven. I don’t mean it that way. It is just good to imagine walking in someone else’s shoes, who ever they are.

There’s so much I would have missed out on if I had left early.

Cherish these moments little Pigeon, they don’t come around too often.

Same! Especially at this time of year, the sense of wonder in the unfurling of nature’s beauty can be life-saving.

Feeling so deeply is a blessing but not without its drawbacks
