Sun is shining and the temp is about 48. The day starts out sunny, more clouds by afternoon. In the words of Marvin the Martian, "Isn’t that lovely.
Maybe we’ll get the rest of the flags out today, the village cemetery is the only one left but, there are over a hundred to be placed. Some towns are now putting flag poles in their cemeteries for the American flag instead of grave flags. I suppose when we can no longer do the job that will be it. :-(
Happier thoughts. My sister had a little dog, she was half Dachshund and half Chiwawa (the Chiwawa was mostly in her mouth). Well, I had a new black jacket that she had never seen me in. So, I came into the house and she didn’t recognize me and came toward me barking, I bent down and barked back at her. When she recognized me she wagged her tail so hard she fell down. She was such a cutey.
Here hopping your day is pleasant and that God may bless you.
I off to the retreat in a few minutes. Last night was a lot of fun. Dinner, an ice-breaker game, secret sister reveal and lots of prayer and fellowship. The lessons and skits start today.
We “walked” two more buildings for paint touch-ups yesterday and have another finished one to do on Monday. After that we’re pretty much caught up and can stay on top of it. They are almost done. Just a few more buildings to go.
It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood. We’re looking for 91 today. Of course I’ll be inside at the church all day, so I won’t notice.
A sunny Sunday outside this domicile. Awoke to see 34 degrees this morning. Brrr. A cooler day coming 59 for a high and generally sunny. (^.^)
I had a thought (dangerous I know) In today’s world we have Scipe and Zoom for two way visual communication. Question: What was the first movie to depict the use of two way visual communication? The answer may surprise you. (^.^)
The usual Sunday activities and just enjoy the day.
Have a blessed Sabbath Vagabonds, may God be your constant companion.
Good morning, Vagabonds and Happy Mother’s Day to all of our moms.
Yesterday was awesome. Our speaker went into great depth about the gifts of the Spirit. Food, fun, fellowship and great lessons. Can’t get any better than that.
Mike has invited us to his place for a home cooked Mother’s Day meal. I ran into him when I got home last night and he gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers, mostly roses and carnations. Then I discovered that I still do not own a big enough vase for a hefty bouquet, so he loaned me a clear pitcher to use. Now all I have to do is figure out how to keep Smokey & Sting away from it. (I locked it up in the bathroom last night.)
We got up to 97 on the patio yesterday. I didn’t go outside at all once I got to the church until after 8:30 last night, so I didn’t notice. Today’s forecast is for 95 with 29% humidity (which is very high for us).
Everyone have a blessed Sunday and a Happy Mother’s Day.
