Most don’t know this but Daedalus had a competitor with inventions in his nephew talos. Daedalus was so jealous that he pushed his nephew to his death from top of a temple. Talos’s mom was inconsolable so she was changed into a gull by an unknown god. Of course this gull shrieked with joy when Icarus fell into the sea to his death
