School let out the end of May here, but resumes the first week of August. Some of the parents and kids are screaming about it, but the legislature upped the number of classroom hours in a year, supposedly to improve test scores, etc. We’ll see.

It’s Sunday every day of the week for me, I’m retired. And loving it !!!

When I was in school in the 60’s in North central CA, the start of school depended on the prune picking season. It was my spending money for the year. I’m pretty sure that has changed because todays teenagers don’t want to do that.
