Yes, THAT’S why I moved 3,000 miles away from her! Of course, she STILL smothers me with emails…..

Risitas, I should be so lucky. Let’s just say, I called my mom’s house on Mother’s Day and Boyfriend O’The Week answered the phone.
Boyfriend: “Hello?” Me: “Uh, hi, is mom there?” Boyfriend: “She’s sick. Whaddaya want?” Me: “So I guess she’s not going to the mother’s day breakfast at church?” Boyfriend: “silence She’s sick.” Me: “Ok, tell her happy mother’s day.” Boyfriend: “Yeah-uh-huh-ok.” Click
My mother-in-law is more my mother than my own mom. (Who, by the way, is married to my stepfather while seeing Boyfriend O’the Week and convincing my sisters that “Daddy is a very bad man for not feeding my credit card fetish. Boyfriend O’The Week paid for Christmas, so he’s nicer.”
While I don’t want her to “smother” me, a recognition that I’m actually related to her would be nice now and then. I would LOVE your mom.
