I was a boy scout and was in a July 4th parade on a 90F day. We were in 4 lines about 10 guys to line. The scout master bought 4 sodas and told us to take a sip and pass them back!!!! Sodas cost about a dime back then too. I hated scouts!!
That sounds about right. Corporate inflicts periodic team building events on its staff and the first place is something great and everyone else gets a candy bar or something of lesser value. The only thing it builds is resentment against the winning team and corporate.
