Social idiocy

Same thing at the beach yesterday. Why bother going?

This would have made no sense to readers from 2009. Some social turns happen pretty quickly.

Nose to the grindstone has become: nose to the IPhone.

Sad!

Two incidents that I actually saw:

1) At a 4-way stop, all 3 of the other drivers were looking at their phones.

2) A woman, on her phone, was pushing a baby carriage with her elbows.
