Given Dougie’s tendency to stick anything nearby into his mouth with no notice, Equinox and Chewy are wise to remain out of arm’s reach.

I’ve noticed smart people often overestimate the rest of us. Mostly, we just want a snack and a nap. We only do enough to attain what we want. We are highly motivated and intent on doing as little as possible for the greatest reward available in order to be able to quit.
