I did pet-sitting at an architect’s house. He had such a (much smaller) “room” with its own ventilation especially for the litter box. His Siamese was so spoiled it had its own dog.
I sat on the bed upstairs as the cat and dog watched me expectantly. I threw the ball so it rolled down the stairs. The cat and dog rushed to the top of the stairs. The dog scrambled down and retrieved the ball. The cat waited for the dog to return, rejoined the dog as he dashed back to the bed. Ta da!

I thought that dogs would consider that as a place of treats.

The little mouse skulls mounted on sticks in front of the entrance to the litter box are perfection.

If he’s anything like my dogs, he just found a new place to find snacks.
