Gee, I can think of a few other letters I could ascribe to her.

Beck, Coolio, Pink, Moby, Nelly, Fabio, Sinbad, Seal, Slash, Awkwafina, Iman, Bjork, Beyoncé, Adele, Eminem, Rihanna, Drake, Enya, Flea, Charo, Cher, ⚧. About that last one, I know this isn’t the correct symbol for “Prince”, but it’s the closest I could find, and its meaning, when associated with Prince, is kind of funny…

This must have been a very short thing. Not only had I never heard about it (*), but I can’t find anything on google about her just calling herself ‘m’.
