Some people have a gift for accents. I had a friend whose Spanish was so good that when he went to Spain many people thought he was a Spaniard, turns out his favourite teacher in high school was from Castille and he picked up her accent. But with Madonna it’s most likely an affectation after living there for so long. She has also lived in NYC, LA, Portugal as well. The home in England was at one time owned by noted royal photographer Cecil Beaton

And I suppose we’ll never find out what name Achilles took when he hid among the women. Dang.

I went to school with a girl who went on a holiday to America for two months and came back with an accent she still had years later.
