Most of the time, for me, a chat bot is a waste of time. I was expecting a package to be delivered by an internationally established carrier and I wanted to be home when it was delivered. The package kept getting repeatedly delayed and the tracking history showed it had made it to a routing center in Mississippi, only to be back at the point of origin the next day.
I used the chat function to inquire as to why the package was delayed and when it might be delivered. The silly AI thing would only tell me to either check for updates on the website…which I was already using to use the AI bot, or to file a lost or missing package report.
Reaching my maximum frustration quotient for the moment I resolved to check on it later that afternoon. You guessed it, that afternoon the package which the website had shown to be in Ohio a few hours earlier was delivered in New Mexico.
