Check the manufacturers website for the ingredients. If it has Xylitol (or any other sugar alcohol) in it, get Max to the vet NOW.

To get dogs to “talk” in movies, they give them gobs of peanut butter. You get plenty of jaw action without the health risks of gum. :)

I hope that the gum doesn’t contain Xyletol.
