I can relate to the phrase, “Nobody wants to see Grandma’s legacy vanish…” I tried to save a few “family heirlooms” when my grandparents passed. Then I saved a few things to remember my parents. Now I’m the Grandma, and I know that my kids and grandkids have no use for any of this stuff.
cleaning someone else’s valuable junk up is drudgery most of the time, but occasionally you find a small treasure like the useable dishes i found yesterday. haven’t found any gold bars yet, unfortunately…

One person’s kitsch is another person’s legacy. Mom left us a month’s worth of stuff to haul to Goodwill or the dump.
It is way too easy to get stuff delivered to your home; it is way too difficult to get things removed from your home.

Sadly, I doubt any of Grandma’s family members will retain any of her collectibles long term.
