Couldn’t work. Asteroids aren’t fuzzy and dayglow green.
Fetch-1 failed when it refused to return to Earth with the asteroid.
If it’s like any dog I ever had, the asteroid would hit it in the snout, bounce off and the vehicle will return home without its prize.

The current asteroid retrieval mission is showing canine characteristics. It’s not letting go of the samples.
