Average gas prices were over $4 back in 2008 and higher in states that have more robust gas taxes. Adjusting for inflation since then, we’re not doing too bad right now.
If he needs a home equity loan to purchase gas he doesn’t handle his life well. He must be one of those financial wizards who thinks fiscal responsibility is realized by increased debt. Gotta love those Republitards.
The EIA reports that it takes 0.08 gallons of liquid petroleum to produce 1 kilowatt-hour (kWh) of electricity – that’s roughly 12.69 kWh per gallon of petroleum.
Tesla cars use a small amount of electricity despite the powerful features. An average Tesla electric car uses around 34 kWh of electricity per 100 miles.
we’re paying around ¥165/liter in our area of japan. city folks pay a bit less, thanks to more competition, but anyway, a quick calculation tells me that would work out to around 22 bucks for 20 gallons at today’s exchange rate. that seems way too cheap, so i have to figure my math is off (as usual)…
