Later versions of Snoopy were champion skaters and hockey players (and he ‘talked’.) It’s fascinating to see how the characters and the comic developed, in real time.
It’s fun to compare this strip, the 1950 Snoopy, to yesterday’s strip in the regular Peanuts, the 1976 Snoopy
No wonder he learned to skate.
The ice is slippery, Snoopy!
He lost his collar on panel 4 unless his ears are hiding it.
Hadn’t developed his world class Olympic skating skills yet.
