I don’t think my school has had a reunion since the 10th (class of ‘84). I’m glad I went to the one for my own sake, but I didn’t exactly have a stellar time. I wouldn’t go again. I’m assuming everyone who went felt the same.
My wife was 24 years older than I. When I went to her 50th high school reunion, I was the “trophy husband”. She met her high school sweetheart there. They went out to lunch a couple of times together. It made her crazy that I did not act jealous. She asked, “What would you do if I slept with someone else?”
I looked her straight in the eyes and said, “Only one way to find out.”
After the third lunch, when he tried to get her drunk, despite her esophageal medical condition, that was the end of the high school sweetheart
