    Massasoit sent some of his own men to hunt deer for the feast and for three days, the English and native men, women, and children ate together. The meal consisted of deer, corn, shellfish, and roasted meat, different from today’s traditional Thanksgiving feast. They played ball games, sang, and danced.

    We’re doing “non-traditional” again this year. we found some marked down strip steaks at the grocery store and I’ll grill out on Thursday.

    And why are the coastal Indigenous people wearing war bonnets and skin clothing of the western plains at a gathering that is supposed to be peaceful and taking place in what will be called Massachusetts?
