This is the second time this week. I’ve seen ‘nerf’ used as a verb, the other time as the answer to a crossword puzzle clue. Not being as ‘gamer’, I wasn’t aware of this usage until recently. As you can guess by context, it means “to reduce the effectiveness of (something, such as a character, attribute, or weapon) in a video game”.
