O-o-o-o-h-h-h, that’s corny! “Corny as Kellogg’s Corn Flakes: Corniest flakes that anybody makes is, Kellogg’s!” (apologies to Kellogg’s late 50’s commercial)
This is from yesterday comic.

Time to play “Name That Musical”:
“Seven-and-a-half cents doesn’t buy a hell of a lot,
seven-and-a-half cents doesn’t mean a thing,
but give it to me every hour, forty hours every week,
and that’s enough for me to be living like a king!”
Time’s up, and the answer is… (drum roll) “The Pajama Game!”
The plot of this 1950s show was about the workers in a pajama factory threatening to go on strike if they didn’t get a 7.5-cent-per-hour raise. Somehow it seemed appropriate to yesterday’s strip.
Thank you all for playing; imaginary doughnuts for everyone.
