I am trying to find strips published in the 1970s. I see JohnHartStudios has published a 50 year retrospective of B.C. so, yes, the Happy Gnu Year strip is NOT the very first one.
My alltime fave B.C. strip was from, I believe, 1983, where two cavemen look at one’s cave drawing of the Space Shuttle, and one says “A million years from now this will put an archaeologist in a mental institution.”
