The Winter Solstice is at 10:27 am EST. Rather chilly at 15 degrees this morning. Frost (not Robert) on the windows prevent me from seeing if there are clouds up there, there channel 3 website say there are so, I’ll take their word for it. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, high 24.
I do like to watch Josh Gates in “Expedition Unknown”, he gets so excited sometimes. We are watching last night’s show right now.
I’ll keep to my usual schedule today and make my rounds.
I took the little tree that had the gift cards on it back to the school this morning. I had sent an email offering to return it so they could fill it next year to raffle again and they said “yes, please”. It’s a cute little tree, but we have no place for it at all.
Do the rest of you, as seniors, find yourself saying “no” to new stuff? We just can’t seem to work up enthusiasm for buying (or gifting) new clutter. At this point I’m starting to give stuff away (mostly to Mike because they have meaning for him). I figure in the next few years, Salvation Army is going to get a lot of good “stuff” from us. And I don’t need to “reload”. I have a storage unit full of things we haven’t touched in years.
The housekeeper is on her way and should be here any minute. I’ve managed to “declutter” for the most part. And Michael takes the litter boxes outdoors so she doesn’t have to deal with them.
It’s a partly cloudy day here. The forecast is still for 67, but it isn’t the brilliant sunshine we had yesterday. At least the clouds are high and wispy.
