Forgot the wind and precipitation!

You still have it pretty easy. There ought to be a strong wind while snowing in your face both ways.

From here on up, it’s all downhill.

I tell my son I did have to walk to school, and it WAS uphill both ways. That of course meant it was ALSO down hill both ways. Development has made it so kids don’t walk any longer. Bus ride all the way.

Carrying your lunch and chewing gum…….snow, sleet, rain….

… in the snow, on broken glass, barefoot. Just ask my mom :D

No snow nor hills. It was a mile across the desert in 99° sunshine that early, & 111° for the afternoon stroll home. Watch for snake holes.

Getting there is half the fun – getting back is the other half.

And there was always a blizzard, even in June.
