I tell my son I did have to walk to school, and it WAS uphill both ways. That of course meant it was ALSO down hill both ways. Development has made it so kids don’t walk any longer. Bus ride all the way.

No snow nor hills. It was a mile across the desert in 99° sunshine that early, & 111° for the afternoon stroll home. Watch for snake holes.
