Eh, in my experience, it’s not as gender specific as one would think, because I’ve encountered situations where it’s reversed, where it’s the guy who’s schedule-savvy and not the gal, and cases where neither or both were either schedule-savvy or not schedule-savvy simultaneously.
Really, I think it just comes down to some people are just really good at managing schedules, and as a result, others just sort of default to letting them do their thing. I think that’s more the case here—Abby’s schedule-savvy but Len is not…so he just lets her handle it because he knows she’s better at it. The fact it happens to fall in line with a gender stereotype is simply coincidental.
