It could be worse; as kids, we usually had plain oatmeal for breakfast..

As I recall puffed rice wasn’t all that bad, with enough sugar, but there was not enough sugar in the world to save puffed wheat.

I like Grape Nuts, no sugar that I know of. Actually a cereal and not candy.

That was what we had in OUR cupboard growing up, all boring, bland, generic ones. My brothers would add heaps of sugar to make it palatable. On the rare occasion when we would get Honeycomb or something, it would be devoured that morning between us 6 kids!

Add enough sugar and the Oat Circles will be edible.

The wheat flakes is like Raisin Bran without the raisins (or like Wheaties). Not bad with enough sugar. Or add some fruit. I’m glad my mother let us choose our own cereal for the most part. Since we never had anything for breakfast but cereal it helped to have the ones we liked.

What is going on with this strip? Is it over? There hasn’t been a new Sunday comic for weeks.
