In response to some of the comments yesterday, Breathed was anti-Aggie in this strip because it was published in the student newspaper at the University of Texas! Texas/Texas A&M is a major rivalry, and the Aggie jokes flow like water at the 40 Acres. His personal politics probably do lean to the left, but that’s not related at all to the jokes in yesterday’s strip.
eriknielsen: Amen. As someone who was there at the time, I can tell you the strip’s focus was entirely within the campus. And don’t forget, these are twenty years old!
