Reminds me of a sci-fi story where one person was selected in the nation to give his opinions to a supercomputer who would then choose the election winner.
John was well known in the county. He had an opinion about everybody and anything. For every new survey, they always started with John. More often than not, they started with John and found no need to go any further, as John’s opinions were pretty much representative of the rest of the county.
This statue is a tribute to John’s knowing-it-all.
I read about a poll yesterday that claimed that 18% of Americans believe that Taylor Swift is part of a conspiracy to get Biden reelected. It said it was a telephone poll of 902 people and claimed a margin of error of 4.1%.
I’m guessing the real margin of error was a lot higher.
