My son is a patent attorney in the Chicago area. I love my son dearly, but it’s obscene, the amount of money they make! Somewhere, someplace down the chain, the ones who pay for all of this are the those of us who are in, what is laughingly called, “middle class!” The very ones who can least afford it.
As a now-retired attorney, I can tell you that successful practitioners do make a lot of money, but from business entities and other professionals. And in that process, employ a lot of people.
Notwithstanding what twypsi thinks, the middle-class is not the end-all of existence. What that comment disguises is envy and hostility for which T could benefit from counseling perhaps?
