Takes more than height and volume to qualify as a Dagwood Sandwich. Yours is too neatly squared up, Adam. But calling it that probably would instigate the filing of a copyright infringement suit – assuming “Dagwood Sandwich” has in fact been copyrighted.
A Dagwood sandwich is an actual thing. It’s in the encyclipedia. It was created after the comic strip, but I think if it’s in the encyclopedia, you can use it freely.

If that were true, Adam—Dithers would be bankrupt.

As for nap club members I nominate Dagwood, Adam, Snuffy, Andy, and Beetle. Any other nominees?

No point in making a sandwich that tall since you can’t bite into it. You’ll have to make it into 4 or 5 separate sandwiches.

The dagwood sandwich is a common item and has been for ages. No copyright on the name, there are recipes all over the Internet.

Adam must be fairly old, to meet Dagwood, who was his age in the twenties

Does admitting that is a possible copyright infringement absolve them of copyright infringement?

Never have understood the unhinge-your-jaw-to-eat sandwich. Just make more sandwiches.

As many times as Dagwood has bowled over the mailman you’d think he’s been sued by USPS!

Not covered by copyright, just pretending to try to make it funny.
