I remember when nurses wore the classic nurses uniform before scrubs became the norm. Last year while my son was in the hospital for several weeks. I noticed some of the nurses were wearing cargo pants and shirts with multiple pockets on the front, plus pockets on the sleeves filled with miscellaneous medical stuff. They looked like EMT’s. I wonder if technical attire will be the trend away from scrubs.

“Scrubs” are not just for medical personnel.

I use to wear them when our doctors were seeing patients, other than that I wore professional clothes on the days they didn’t have patients.

Those scrubs are very practical.

On the medical shows I’ve seen, they have to take naps. It’s the only way they can get any sleep, and they’re already dressed for it.
