I much prefer to leave the driving to my wife. She drives well (only differently than I: she is “right lane centric,” I favor the left. She obeys the speed limits, I “cruise” about five-to-seven miles above—still barely keeping up with traffic).
The last time that happened to me was one of the books in the “Murderbot” series (no, not about a rampaging killer robot). I carried it with me everywhere I went and finished reading it in one day.
