I’m sure Yaz ended up marrying some nerd … who’s now worth half a billion because he helped start one of the big Silicon Valley tech firms. She’s now 40, but still has that tall supermodel build, and causes every guy who ever ignored her back in the ’80s to kick themselves over how they blew their chance.
And I wish I had paid more attention to those nerds too.
A couple of them actually have a good sense of humor and aren’t so bad to talk to. But some still can’t dress
worth *%#^.
God expected Yaz to resist peer pressure and to not ask for needless things involved with what she shouldn’t have been doing in the first place. WH is God’s way of pointing this out to Yaz (and to the rest of us). Bearing in mind that there are things in life a lot worse than WH, the moral of this story might be that we should mind out P’s and Q’s and not piss off God.
comicsnoob, you’re right, but don’t forget personal hygiene, which could be fixed, but oftentimes it is almost impossible and Yaz’s friend here looks like the “impossible to fix” type :-)
If Berkeley Breathed was an atheist, no wonder he’s misrepresenting religion here (at least, religion worth having). Poking fun at superstition is more like it, and I hope that was his intent; but most atheists I know can’t tell the difference.
My apologies, but with a strip that deals so regularly with religion and politics, one can’t ignore the subjects entirely in response.

God does not play dice…or spin the bottle, either.
(Alas, poor Yaz! I knew her, Horatio…)

rayannina, are you trying to tell us you’re worth half a billion?

i think rayannina is trying to say he married someone he ignored during the 80’s (but i may be misinterpreting).

Advice to Yaz: Break that bottle over Harold’s head and run like hell.

Great advice Sherlock. I wish someone I trusted would have told me to do that a long time ago.
