Portnoy was nothing but a neurotic, self-absorbed, oedipal twit who never got over the fact that he was thrown into life naked and unprepared. Well, so were we all. So what? And, yes I know it probably wasn’t fair. Again, so what? Frankly, there is too much life to live and too little time to live it to stop and analyze every last minutia of it. Get over it, Portnoy’s of the world, and move on.
