I never could figure out what was so âfunâ about alcohol, drugs, and wild parties. Iâm such a boring old thing - if I have a good time I want to remember it.
There were bands with out of sight music. There was mud, mud, mud. There were naked people and there were drugs - bleeep fine drugs. There was a coming together and a oneness with everyone there. One person died and one baby was born. The circle of life went full circle and life moved on. Before you ânormal peopleâ criticize that, take an honest look at your world and and what is going on in it. See what a hell youâve created and are living in. Frankly, Iâd rather have the music, the coming together and the bleeep fine drugs.
Whatâs the Bill Cosby line? âAnd you swear youâre going to see your SHOES come out your mouth. And this is called âhaving a good timeâ. Yup, I donât get it either, but then, a lot of it depends on how easily amused you are. Most of the world needs to really WORK at being amused, some of us can get fun in just about anything.
I have gone to a few of those festivals and I was usually on all kinds of substances. I have had few other experiences that I have had so much fun at. I realized that the musicians werenât just playing songs, but they were just playing. It blew my mind. Then I danced around a fire.
I remember the â60s, but a lot of it was overseas, so I guess I can say âI wasnât thereâ, except for the alcohol part. Caught up in the â70s.
My old friend Ron always claimed âIf you think youâre in control of your drugs, youâre obviously not taking enough!â
And I second the âHappy [234th] Birthday, USMC!â Born in Tun Tavern in 1775, before we were even a country. Semper Fi!

I think itâs too late for this one, Portnoy. Just triage him and move along.

Yes, I graduated college June 1, 1969. I remember the sixties. Fun times. My drugs have all come with a copay.

Letâs get organized about this; Iâll take the sex, you take the drugs, and weâll find someone else to handle the rock ânâ roll.
