ARe they talking about Tavis Smiley? I never watch B.E.T but enjoy Tavis on PBS.

Yes. Tavis started out on BET. His firing lets you know just how crappy the station is.

On the Boondocks TV show, BET stands for : Black Evil Television They even depict BET’s president as a black female version of Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies, only more blood thirsty. It’s in those two episodes that Cartoon Network wouldn’t air because of pressure from BET not to broadcast them.
