Huey: Congresswoman Lee, I am writing to express my deep gratitude for your courage in your lone stance against Bush's warmongering. It is good to know there is one person of conscience in our government. That's one more than I previously believed. Much respect, Huey Freeman. P.S. - Tell the rest of those punks in the Congressional Black Caucus that they got a kid-sized steel-toe boot comin' to 'em when I see 'em! I'm through messin' around!

From Wikipedia.org/Barbara_Lee:
Barbara Jean Lee (born July 16, 1946), is an American politician, and has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 1998, representing California’s 9th congressional district. She is the first woman to represent that district. Lee is the Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and was the Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Lee is notable as the only person in either chamber of Congress who voted against the authorization of use of force following the September 11, 2001 attacks. This made her a hero among the anti-war movement. Lee has been a vocal critic of the war in Iraq and supports legislation creating a Department of Peace.

Congresswoman Lee was my representative for several years, and I was very pleased with that. The Wikipedia entry quoted above is accurate (in this case).

Huey would make on heck of a politician. I could see him starting the Revolutionary Party.

If Huey becomes a revolutionary needs him a strong gal to keep him on his toes, just as conscious and caring.
