The Boondocks by Aaron McGruder for November 30, 2011

Huey: What's problematic to me is not the president is staggeringly dim-witted... But that the press knows he's staggeringly dim-witted and everyone just pretends that he's not. It's like the presidency has become the Special Olympics and everyone wants to give him an award just for trying.

Wait, which President are we talking about here?

The comic is copyrighted 2004 and dated 4/28. Bush is still stupid. Say what you will about the politics of Carter and Clinton and the ethics of Clinton but neither was/is stupid. Carter worked with nuclear propulsion systems in the Navy and Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar.

The press pretended?? What planet are you from Mr. McGruder. The only time the press pretends anything is when a Democrat is in the White House. Bill Clinton was basically guilty of the same crimes as Herman Cain and yet he could do no wrong and his indescretions were swept under the rug. The press tries vigorously to dig up dirt when it suits its own interests. And make no mistake, we don’t have a free press in this country, we have a Liberal controlled press. And if anyone tries anything counter to their philosophy they are immeadiately vilified. Can you say Fox News, I know you can. So I have no idea what you are speaking of here Mr. McGruder. The Press hated George W. and did their level best to discredit and belittle him at every turn.
