I used to work in a department store. One day, when I was on my break, I was going to the break room and passed by two other employees. One was putting price tags on something (don’t remember what) before it was put on a shelf. The other had a red pen and crossed out all of the price tags and put a lower price tag on. They put things on sale before they were ever sold at the higher price. In spite of the fact that I worked there, I swore I would never again shop at that store after I saw that.
Back when I worked with Pepsi Dr Pepper we had the price for the retailer and they had their mark up. We sold a case (4-6 packs) at 4.50 a case. The retailer in turn sold a six pack at 4.50. Profit made!! Even buy one get one free still made the profit! Now move to vending machines at a dollar a can…..xD
I used to feel guilty when I left a job. It seemed like I was leaving my coworkers shorthanded. Then I realized I was doing them a favor: they had someone to blame every mistake on for the next six months. I could be the scapegoat for failed projects I never even heard of.

Hmm. Maybe we should just start blaming Berle for everything.

Ha! Gotcha! The blame game comes to light when the blamed takes flight.
