I thought I was the only one to completely close both seat and lid. I just think it looks better than having the Porcelain monster perched there with it’s maw agape.
I was able to stay up this late, but have to go to bed now. Goodnight, Tribe.
G’morning gang, here, I sit hung up again by an appointment looming an hour and a half away, so it seems a good time to get caught up on the comics. Heard a legendary story once about how cats were once trained to use the toilet. But in an unfortanate accident, one of the Great Elder Cats (heretofore to be know as GECs) slipped and fell in as he was flushing. since then there has been a Catworld wide ban on toilet use.
What a first comment for me to read. About toilets???!!!
I agree with RAD. It looks better with the lid down.
Anyhow, I’ve got oatmeal and biscuits on board here. And that Nuke Coffee pipeline is in working order, so I don’t have any problems there. Thanks again, Doc.
I never did like that trained word! My exes used that word. The rest is history. I prefer to look at it as I have slowly grown over the years. Not completely though, but I am aware of my own faults. And at the present time my plusses outweigh the faults. I’m presently content!
doc - I see the pipeline goes from CO to IL. I hope it is crossing KS further north of me. I-70 would be okay, I think I’m far enough away from there to avoid the fallout from any leaks.
dpetrill what you said to lady wolf last night was very nice.
Cleo i sware i was not rubbing it in that the house was in freaking ice cube, even the hot bloaded child who is ALWAYS hot was cold. it was freezing. i did not even think of you at that time…. sorry. you know i have love for you. :D
Cleo i know you were only joking. but then second time i was rubbing it in. lol Doc i sure would have let you two have the house and the kid last night it was cold and she was “wild child” lol
well ineed to get off and do some last min studying they should be here NOW but havent heard from them so idk im worried. see you all later on when i get back. peace and love all.
Yes there is an off ramp at Albuquerque. You’re in charge after the turn off. Good luck. I think Cousin It and Pugsley are available for pipeline work, too!
If I stay here to chat, (this is NOT a chat room, lol) I will be late for my appointment. So although I have run through the posts and have many retorts to make, I will refrain and get to you all later.
cleo - If your computer room has air conditioning, try covering up the windows with something that blocks all that sunlight. (Even if it doesn’t have a/c, covering up all but the open part of the window will help.) Use aluminum foil, sheet of styrofoam, even just cardboard will help immensely, especially if the windows are on the west or south sides. Our master bedroom is the only room on the top floor. I have to cover up the west window in the summer, or it has the same problem. I use thick pull-down window shades on the two east windows (no north or south windows in this room), to cut down on the amount of sunlight in the summer. Hope that helps, so you can join us more often!
Lonewolf - Just be careful that when the pipeline goes through KS, that the prisoners at Leavenworth don’t tap into it. I’d hate to think of what might happen in that case!
RRAmom - Thanks for the tip. I have covered the witndows with the blinds. I could take our laptop out into the shade as my wife pointed out last night.
cleo - That is the great thing about Wi-Fi and laptops. The computer doesn’t have to stay in the same room.
If you don’t have a/c (knowing your area of the country isn’t normally this hot) you might want to buy some electric fans, if you don’t have any. Box fans are pretty effective, and are usually $15 or less. I’ve survived 3 different summers without any a/c at home and summer highs in KS are usually 80’s - 100’s. (It is considered cool, if the highs are in the 80’s.) So, I learned a lot of techniques for dealing with hot weather, from my mother who didn’t have electricity when she was growing up in KS. I am thankful that our central a/c is working great this summer!
Another way box fans are useful is in “natural air conditioning”: Opening up the house in the evening and drawing cool night air in; closing it in the morning to keep it cooler. It works best, of course, where it’s not too humid and where it cools off at night to at least 60s or so.
I’ve also seen a few more efficient ducted box fans, with a circular baffle around the fan so that the air has less room to go backwards past the fan blades. It’s surprising how effectively they can move the air if you seal around the box.
bmonk - I remember the tip about opening the house, and closing it in the morning, although I think it has been so humid here most of the time, it doesn’t help much. My mom used to do that, but she learned it during the dust bowl years, when the humidity was obviously very low.
I haven’t noticed the ducted fans, but can’t say I’ve gone shopping for fans lately, either. I would usually place the box fans in the window openings at night, so that I could draw as much cool air in as possible. Best to have a good screen on the window, so the bugs don’t come in too.
@Rmom, they say that this part of the world has gotten more humid too in the past 50-60 years, since several big lakes went in (like Owahe and Sakakawea).
doc - It has to be bad for you, sleeping in the daytime, when it is the hottest. I’ve gotten used to having a fan blow on my face when I sleep, now it is hard to sleep well without it.
As to toilet lids. Having them down also keeps the bacteria in the toilet and not all over the room when it is flushed. I know - Gross but I’m a new convert to the idea too. My kids insist on it in their homes and after reading some of the research we decided to follow suit.
Dawn - I agree. Here’s a great experiment everyone can try at home: Add some food coloring into the toilet bowl, then stretch paper towel (a couple of connected sheets) over the bowl and lower the seat and lid to hold it in place, then flush. You’ll be amazed/disgusted at how much of the liquid get aerated by the flushing action…
I apologize in advance for continuing the discussion about the blogging page so those who are not interested, please skip ahead. Mr Spock had Ladywolf’s interests at heart and he did promise to delete the page at the end of the day. It was just to show what was possible and with her father as moderator, could have worked well. The main concern is Intellectual Property. As it is right now, I do not know who Owns LW’s work. It may be owned by U-Comics! If she had her own blog (again moderated by her father) she would retain the rights. I haven’t taken the time to check the rules of this site, but it is fairly common for a site to retain control once something is posted. Having the blog would be no different from musicians posting their compositions and retaining copyright.
Just my take on the subject.
Hey DocT I think your pipe has burst again. It was 35* degrees here yesterday. That’s *92 to you ‘Mericans!
But Dry, Marg and Tabby didn’t we have a great time on the lake? We had the island all to ourselves! The water was just cool enough to be refreshing!
I think we’ll have to go again today - unless DocT gets his coffee under control.
Dawn - Sounds like you’ve been having hotter weather up there, than we’ve been having here. (Thanks for the C to F conversion by the way - I’d have to look up how to convert it, as I don’t have that memorized.) Our highs this week have been around 80 F, but we’ve been getting a thunderstorm almost every day, which helps to keep things cool. Another one is approaching right now, but so far, it isn’t at the severe level, and not anticipated to get that way here.
doc, “48 legged spider, way cool webs”? I heard the rum supply has all but disappeared, and you say you don’t drink, but I can’t blame your sightings on your coffee alone! (Snerk!!) Me thinks someone has been drinking more than coffee!!! :-D
Oh, for a thunderstorm! And some rain!!! It is so dry. Please send it our way, RMom. And DocT I’m seeing mutants here too.
((((Lonewolf))) it can only get better, but I like your attitude
Cleo I agree - it is too hot to do anything but go in the water so
Cya Tribe!
Dawn - The storm has arrived! I sure wish I knew how to send some to where it is needed. At least we haven’t had major flooding issues lately, but seeing as the tractor is broken we use to mow our weeds with, it would be helpful if they didn’t grow so fast.
DF, Love that map!!! ROFLMAO!!! And I believe you have added some new Andy photos since the last time I looked at your site. Am I correct, or forgetful?
That map has me concerned. Looks like there were some spills of doc’s coffee in my area. I may need to ask Hymenoxis to do some hazmat cleaning up here.
Michael Ignatief, currently the Leader of the Opposition (Liberal) in the Canadian Parliament. For those that aren’t familiar with Canadian politics, the Liberal party is similar to the Democrats.
DF When I first looked at the map, I looked at the central and west coast areas, but I looked again! Geez!!! The whole of the mid Atlantic states looks to be polluted!! I hope all this rain will help to decontaminate the effects of the coffee!!!
By the way, we’ve been getting rain again the last day or so after a week off. Most of the local ranchers even had time to get their hay baled. Now let’s try for a second crop?
Still, it is a very cool July for us. Only got into the 90s once or twice, and not 100s at all.
Doc should have known that a pipeline constructed from duct tape and used milkshake straws would never be able to contain that kind of hazardous material…
Dry, and Marg i to love that pic. its just so great. lol
im home and guess what! i got 90 out of 100 on my driving test and out of 40 questions on the writien one i missed 5 so that is not bad at all. and i can normaly not drive without my radio on if i could have had the radio on i would have made 100. but im find with 90 i got my license!!! so happy now my car will get fixed. thank God.!
tabby, congratulations! Drive safely and ALWAYS wear your seatbelt, and don’t do like someone we know, no texting, and pull off the road if you HAVE to use the cell phone!
Now that your tribal mom is done lecturing, LOL,
again congratulations!!
TABBY, I’m so proud of you! Way to go, girl! And listen to Dry, pay attention when you’re driving. We want you with us for a long time.
My #1 piece of advice? Keep a space cushion between you and the car in front of you. That has saved my bacon so many times that I’ve lost count. And you will have to watch out for the other driver. Make sure that they see you, especially in parking lots.. When driving down a row of parked cars, watch for backup lights and exhaust coming from the tail pipe. (All the previous advice courtesy of FedEx and their defensive driving courses)
Dry No worries i always where my seat belt, i DONT drink so i wont drink and drive, i dont text and drive and ive only talked on the phone one time when i was driving. i am so careful its crazy.
im so excited its crazy. i was just dancing around the house with ana sing barney songs.
Dry unfortonaly he is STILL on tv, but we have a tape that she loves and theres a song on there that reminds me of the tribe its says something about it being great to be crazy. lol
BlackBerry’s aren’t the issue (I manage 300+ at my company) it’s the nut loose on the device.
More unsolicited advice Tabby - use the 3 second rule - watch a feature on the road and count 3 seconds from when the car in head passes it before you pass it. When stopped in traffic (stop light, etc.) you should always be able to see the bottoms of the tires of the car in front of you. If you can’t you’re too close. End of lecture. :()¦
Tabby Wow, Barney has been on a long time, then! Are you familiar with Franklin the Turtle? There are books and a cartoon show. I don’t think the cartoon show is on much, at least not here, but my youngest just loved Franklin! I still have his Franklin turtle and Franklins friend the snail, whose name escapes me, in my attic. And we have a bunch of the books.
♪♫..I love you, you love me, won’t someone please shoot Barney? With a great big gun and a noose around his neck, we’ll blow Barney straight to heck…♪♫

“The Taxonomy of Barney”
Edward C. Theriot, Arthur E. Bogan, and Earle E. Spamer.
The authors observed on television an animal
which was there identified as a dinosaur,
Barney. X-ray, cladistic, and morphological
analyses suggest that Barney is a hominid.
The authors note that Barney more closely
resembles a dead salmon than a dinosaur.

bmonk - You’ve got a point there. A purple martin is the only thing that pops in my head, except for school mascots like the Kansas State Wildcats. And purple martins aren’t really purple - more of a bluish-black.
I see lots of things, and if it piques my interest (or weird sense of humor), I store it in a cluttered file, until something sparks it and I go looking. Like today’s discussion on Barney.
Of course, then there’s the challenge of figuring out how to find it again…
NPR (All Things Considered) has a sort of recurring reverb problem going on. Every few minutes, it goes into an echo chamber effect, and then clears up, and so on. Very disconcerting.
RRAMom, yes I saw her this Am. She reminds me how fast the days go by!! LOL It’s not like her to not be here at least for a little while in the evening.
We just hit a new all time record for heat. Since they began keeping records on daily highs and lows, it has never been this hot at any time. We haven’t even hit August yet, our hottest month. Yeesh. Our lake temp is 81 degrees. it is scary.
I’m not intentionally avoiding anyone, I just don’t get to sit on here as much anymore and chat. CHAT, CHAT, CHAT!!!
I’ve been rather busy with helping my wife in her Realty business, cleaning up file in my genealogy research and lately doing DNA research in regards to genealogy and trying to identify ancestry better. I still get opportunities to flit through the comics several times a day but not enough opportunity to sit and comment. I have several sites I’m trying to keep rather current and I’m staying pretty well confused.
Good to “see” everyone and skim the comments daily. Hope everyone is doing well and congradulations on your Drivers’ License, Tabby.
cleo - Sounds like your lake is warm enough for me to go swimming. I always hate going to an outdoor pool early in the season before the hot weather has had a chance to warm the water up.
Rad - How far back have you gotten on your genealogy research? I worked on mine between the births of our two kids. Haven’t had time since then, just try to keep the computer database compatible with the current technology.
RRAMom, saw your comment this AM or early PM about running your fan at night. Our bedroom air conditioner runs all year, in winter its on the fan. The “white noise”, gotten so used to it that when the power goes off or something like that, it is hard to sleep! I immediately wake up if it shuts off!
RRAmom - The water is nice. This is the first time I ever remember the water being at a temp that wasn’t at first a bit nippy. To show you how bizarre things are, up until this year, I have never seen the lake above 72 degrees.
I have been having problems with gocomics since yesterday. I can not click on page four I get a picture of Opus and the message “Our penguins are acting a bit crazy please check back in a little while.” - The management. I may not be able to check on anybody’s posts from this point on. Drat.
RRAMom - I have followed the research of other lists, comments, files and commentaries and gone back to an Ian Esom Farris born in Rugherglen, Scotland about 1640. I recently undertook a 33 marker Y-DNA test and the reults showed me to be part of the R1b haplogroup and I received a letter from a researcher that Ian Esom Farris was in group I1 because he was a decendant (who got his info the same way I did) and I should reexamine my files to determine my proper ancestry. However, there is no definate proof of Ian Esom Farris’s DNA through his great grandson. The only lead is through stories, letters, census and personal family information.
Half my ancestry has been placed in a holding pattern until I can provide proof otherwise. I’m sure I am linked into that line through several branches, I just may not be able to prove a direct link.
Dry - I know what you mean about the “white noise”. I started having the fan because of my husband’s snoring, but as it got worse, the fan wasn’t loud enough. He now wears a CPAP at night, and the fan helps even out that noise, which is much less than his snoring. The last power outage at night that we had, he was home, and couldn’t sleep until the power was turned back on. I probably wouldn’t have slept either, except I have a battery-operated fan just for such occasions. Without the fan noise, I hear the owls hooting, the trains going by, airplanes, crickets chirping, vehicles crossing the center line on the highway (several blocks away, but the state put rumple strips down the center.) Sometimes having good hearing is a problem.
Hey all: Back again for a while. The guy went to get me some parts for his car. If he gets all the stuff I’ll fix it tonight. If not then I’ll have more time here. Have fun or make money? Make money or have fun? Oh well, we’ll just have to wait and see!
The topics have just been all over the spectrum the last few days. Keeping up when you can’t be on here continuously is brutal!
Rad - I have some Scotch ancestry, but not much. Mostly English. The majority of my ancestors immigrated in the 1600’s. I managed to find one book that has my grandparents listed, and goes back to way before the Norman invasion.
I’ve got no Scots or English blood, but we can trace our name back to the Swiss Reformation and one of the wars Zwingli was involved in. My ancestor had something to do with the peace treaty delegation, reportedly holding the Seal for his confederation.
RRAMom, even wtih the “air” running, I always leave my window open on my side. Even if it’s hot and humid. I love the heat. And I do love the sound of rain on the awnings. That does help me sleep even without the white noise.
Ancestry, well I don’t know a lot of my dad’s ancestry, but I believe its Scotch and German. He’s not sure either. But my mom’s side is 100% Italian, and my grandparents, great aunts and uncles, all came over and entered Ellis Island. I still have a couple of distant cousins in Italy. My FAVORITE great aunt was a mail order bride!
@Akenta, it’s something gocomics.com offers you when you can’t load a page for some technical reason. I’d give a different description, but Cleo’s version is pretty much what it looks like.
Akenta, sometimes when the messasge boards are busy or they are doing maintenance, Opus pops up and says the penquins are busy and going crazy! You never got that message? You are lucky! It gets frusrtating!
Has anyone had a Family Tree/Genealogy DNA test done to determine a haplogroup tracing of a paternal lineage? I’m in haplogroup R1b called the Artisans which have their beginnings in Northern Africa about 35,000 years ago and migrated through West Asia up through central Eurasia and through Europe, The UK and down into Spain. I still don’t know what subgroup I fall within to determine paternal lineage yet.
All this info and it does me no good.
Does this mean I can claim African-American on my resume?
Dry - Knowing what the weather is like in PA in August, what you would consider “hot” and what I consider “hot” is about 20 degrees different in temperature.
RRAMom I lived in NC for a number of years, and also spent a lot of time in Tucson. I love the heat, and Tucson was HOT but there was no humidity. If fate hadn’t put me here, I would be in a hot climate. Who knows, when I retire maybe I will be in a place like that! It’s on my Bucket List anyway!!
bmonk - It always makes history more interesting, when you know where/ how your ancestor was involved. The farthest back that I know anything about, was that an ancestor was one of the Vikings that invaded France, and settled in Normandy. Somewhere around 900AD. One of that line built a castle in England after the Norman Invasion, which is a tourist attraction now. I’ve got a Mayflower ancestor, several Am. Revolutionary war ancestors, etc. Jonathan Edwards’ sister is an ancestor of mine, too. My cousin-in-law gave me stuff showing the links back to Charlemagne & Lady Godiva, but I’ve misplaced it. Guess most people living today who have ancestors from that area of Europe are descended from Charlemagne. My latest immigrating ancestor came through Ellis Island, but the rest came over before it was operational as a processing center.
Dry - You ought to make sure your great-aunt’s story is written down somewhere. That would probably be very interesting! When my sister (who is a natural blonde) lived in NJ, she said people could hardly believe how many generations we had to go back to find an immigrant ancestor. She also said that she was probably the only natural blonde in the NYC area.
Dry - My brother lived in Phoenix for many, many years, and I’ve been to AZ in the summer time. Yes, that’s hot, but the humidity makes a huge difference. At least there, when you sweat, it does some good.
RRAMom, our one cousin has begun a history of all the generations, but my oldest aunt had the best stories to tell. We all told her she should write a book, but she never did, and now she’s gone, so between us all, we are trying to fill in the pieces to help our cousin complete the story. They had a fascinating life, but not all of it was good. There was a lot of sadness, especially when my mom and her siblings were little, but amazingly, they all rose above and beyond that!.
I’ve got British and Scottish ancestry as well, my parents gave me a binder a few years back with our family traced back to famous people, I’ve got Pocahontas, Robert the Bruce, and William the Conqueror amongst my roots.
It’s too bad that old pirate isn’t here today, I understand his ancestry is a mixture of scotch and rum…
Terry Obviously you’ve never been to this beautiful part of our country! Except for winter. I love to watch the snow fall and love heavy snows, unitl the next day when you have to go out in it!! Hey, maybe Doc’s’
pipeline will make the snow melt by the next day!!
tabby Congratulations. No unsolicited advice from me. I’m a very cautious driver, but I also have some wild story’s to tell, so you don’t want to learn from me.
I can’t drive at all on the highway with a radio on or a passenger. Only Mua in the back seat.
He howls. for a while, but settles down as soon as I hit a cruising speed and he knows we’ve passed the vet’s offe]ice. Of course, I don’t own a car, so I just rent when I travel, which won’t be for a long time again due to lack of $$$.
Rad My friend just got back from Ireland. She’s been researching her family line for years- the maternal side. She had traced the line so far back to a woman in Switerland who immigrated to ireland in the 1700’s and now she’s meeting some of her relatives in Ireland.
I have a Scottish background on my Dad’s side, but we’ve been in Cannda a while and I haven’t had time to trace anyone so far.
Mua’s caption would read, ” I cooked a chicken for you, but I eated it!”
He loves chicken but it looks like he may be allergic to it. I’ve switched to quail-100% quail meat in a can. He loves it, but it stinks to high heaven.
Lonewolf - It looks like Shika didn’t pull a Shika this time. Guess she’s touring toonville. I probably need to sign off, and get in bed myself.
Good night!
Hymenoxis - not too worry, most of the furniture around here was made in China, so it has a high enough lead content to mitigate a couple of spills of Doc’s coffee, as long as doesn’t happen too often…
Well, it looks as if I have shown up at about the time everybody else has taken off. Typical. I spent a lot of time in the lake today. It is supposed to cool off tomorrow…by one degree. LOL
I have been sitting on our deck overlooking the lake waiting for the office to cool off enough to come back to my obsession.
Marg- Hello sweetie. Believe me I needed a lake today. I know that is nothing compared to the temps that you get in your neck of the woods, but it is hot for us. Our lake temp is up 9 degrees over the highest temp that I have ever seen it before. Yes, it is nice having berries to pick. I picked ours at dusk tonight.

What’s JFri complaining about?
Smiley Rmom over 15 years ago
cleo - If your computer room has air conditioning, try covering up the windows with something that blocks all that sunlight.
Smiley Rmom over 15 years ago
Lonewolf - Just be careful that when the pipeline goes through KS, that the prisoners at Leavenworth don’t tap into it. I’d hate to think of what might happen in that case!

A warm hello to ALL.
Smiley Rmom over 15 years ago
Marg - Yumm, that sounds great! It isn’t quite lunchtime for me yet here in CDT, but close enough to start thinking about it.
Edited: Okay, you’ve got me stumped. What ARE “boleta rolls”?
cleokaya over 15 years ago
RRAmom - Thanks for the tip. I have covered the witndows with the blinds. I could take our laptop out into the shade as my wife pointed out last night.
Smiley Rmom over 15 years ago
cleo - That is the great thing about Wi-Fi and laptops.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 15 years ago
Marg, THANK YOU!! I am starving!! And the tribal fridge is out, since I ate the last of the stuffed peppers, Doc!
bmonk over 15 years ago
Another way box fans are useful is in “natural air conditioning”: Opening up the house in the evening and drawing cool night air in; closing it in the morning to keep it cooler. It works best, of course, where it’s not too humid and where it cools off at night to at least 60s or so.
I’ve also seen a few more efficient ducted box fans, with a circular baffle around the fan so that the air has less room to go backwards past the fan blades. It’s surprising how effectively they can move the air if you seal around the box.
Smiley Rmom over 15 years ago
bmonk - I remember the tip about opening the house, and closing it in the morning, although I think it has been so humid here most of the time, it doesn’t help much. Best to have a good screen on the window, so the bugs don’t come in too.
bmonk over 15 years ago
Doc, I can see why you’re complaining. Being hot, especially when I’m trying to sleep, is no good.
bmonk over 15 years ago
@Rmom, they say that this part of the world has gotten more humid too in the past 50-60 years, since several big lakes went in (like Owahe and Sakakawea).
Smiley Rmom over 15 years ago

As to toilet lids. Having them down also keeps the bacteria in the toilet and not all over the room when it is flushed. I know - Gross but I’m a new convert to the idea too. My kids insist on it in their homes and after reading some of the research we decided to follow suit.
Digital Frog over 15 years ago

Smiley Rmom over 15 years ago
Dawn - Sounds like you’ve been having hotter weather up there, than we’ve been having here. (Thanks for the C to F conversion by the way - I’d have to look up how to convert it, as I don’t have that memorized.) Our highs this week have been around 80 F, but we’ve been getting a thunderstorm almost every day, which helps to keep things cool. Another one is approaching right now, but so far, it isn’t at the severe level, and not anticipated to get that way here.

Digital Frog over 15 years ago
BlackBerry’s aren’t the issue (I manage 300+ at my company) it’s the nut loose on the device.
More unsolicited advice Tabby - use the 3 second rule - watch a feature on the road and count 3 seconds from when the car in head passes it before you pass it. When stopped in traffic (stop light, etc.) you should always be able to see the bottoms of the tires of the car in front of you. If you can’t you’re too close. End of lecture. :()¦
Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 15 years ago

“The Taxonomy of Barney” Edward C. Theriot, Arthur E. Bogan, and Earle E. Spamer. The authors observed on television an animal which was there identified as a dinosaur, Barney. X-ray, cladistic, and morphological analyses suggest that Barney is a hominid. The authors note that Barney more closely resembles a dead salmon than a dinosaur. [Includes photos and charts]

Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 15 years ago
HI Akenta!
Cleo I had that message yesterday from the Penquin! Don’t know what is going on!
Smiley Rmom over 15 years ago
Dry - I know what you mean about the “white noise”. I started having the fan because of my husband’s snoring, but as it got worse, the fan wasn’t loud enough. He now wears a CPAP at night, and the fan helps even out that noise, which is much less than his snoring. The last power outage at night that we had, he was home, and couldn’t sleep until the power was turned back on. I probably wouldn’t have slept either, except I have a battery-operated fan just for such occasions. Without the fan noise, I hear the owls hooting, the trains going by, airplanes, crickets chirping, vehicles crossing the center line on the highway (several blocks away, but the state put rumple strips down the center.) Sometimes having good hearing is a problem.

bmonk - It always makes history more interesting, when you know where/ how your ancestor was involved.

YES THANKS DOC! According to DF’s map, you have pretty much destroyed the Middle Atlantic States!!!

Dry - My brother lived in Phoenix for many, many years, and I’ve been to AZ in the summer time. Yes, that’s hot, but the humidity makes a huge difference. At least there, when you sweat, it does some good.

cleo - Glad you’re enjoying the lake. Do you get to skinny dip with all the neighbors swimming too?
Smiley Rmom over 15 years ago
Rad - It didn’t work for Teresa Heinz Kerry, so I doubt it will work for you.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 15 years ago
RRAMom, our one cousin has begun a history of all the generations, but my oldest aunt had the best stories to tell. We all told her she should write a book, but she never did, and now she’s gone, so between us all, we are trying to fill in the pieces to help our cousin complete the story. They had a fascinating life, but not all of it was good. There was a lot of sadness, especially when my mom and her siblings were little, but amazingly, they all rose above and beyond that!.

Rad - Oh, and to answer your question… I haven’t knowingly submitted for a DNA test for any reason.

I took my cousins to my work and my boss allowed them to go horseback riding. They have fun

I dunno. I thought maybe I threw one too many jokes at you. I would not want any regular on this site mad at me.

tabby Congratulations.

Shika, If you had read the previous posts (SNERK) I told everyone what it said!!! :-D
Does it remind you of Mua?
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago

I’d love to go swimming this summer. It’s been to wet and cold so far, and I don’t get up to the Bay as often as I used to.

I was refering to everyone talking about swimming earlier.
And white noise and lots of things I won’t have time to comment on.
