    WARNING ~Cat Joke Ahead

A couple was going out for the evening. The last thing they did was to put the cat out.

The taxi arrived, and as the couple walked out of the house, the cat shoots back in. So the husband goes back inside to chase it out.

The wife, not wanting it known that the house would be empty, explained to the taxi driver “He’s just going upstairs to say goodbye to my mother.”

A few minutes later, the husband got into the taxi and said, “Sorry I took so long, the stupid thing was hiding under the bed and I had to poke her with a coat hanger to get her to come out!”

I would still be burdened by the weight of indecision if not for GROG. LONEWOLF, a hobo omelette please. JFRI 2 rib eyes, so rare they Moo.If each of your fine eateries would supply a cup of NUC COFFEE, it would be appreciated.

Where can I hide? At 9pm, the UPS man brought a Digital Transport Adaptor. Following their easy directions, I had it installed by 9:30. By 11 I had exhausted the Internet and broke down and called. The international connection could have been better but I thought I had deciphered the accent.Putting myself in a Buddhist/Hindu/Zen mind frame, I try to apply logic, peace, love, and understanding. No TV.

I return to the keyboard, follow LUVH8’s instructions, and Eureka, I have an avatar. LUVH8, you could have a future in technical writing. Please contact Comcast Cable. In the meantime, any suggestions of what to tell the love of my life?

Good morning everyone. Rmom was correct about weather in KS here. I had to go basement called lower level where I work at.

County had tornado spotted over at Mt. Hope though that is further north from where I work at don’t know of damaged may just been a brief touchdown not in town but further southwest one of the workers heard from family in another town miles from us. Evan further away a tornado was heading towards their home. The clear was sounded 5 min before 5pm got to leave yea. But there was a big massive thunderstorm with massive rain heading towards where I work at Lake Afton so I headed home. Almost all night it rained had pea size hail sounded loud on the house. Where I live at the location almost by us has a good drainage and the streets has deep drainage so rainwater or people over water drains well. I heard someone comment we’re in for a buppy ride for the summer months. I hope not.

The Admin Assist has a weather radio and every time that goes off makes me nervous and when someone said go basement/lower level she left for home. We where in no danger tornado was further north of us.

Morning, Tribe. I’m already tired, and it isn’t even noon! Our basement leaked really bad in the middle of the night. Thankfully, my sons took care of the immediate need, and just left me with a note and wet towels this morning. I’ve used the shop vac to suck a lot of the water up, but there’s still more. Our router got partially fried by lightning. Thankfully, we had a spare router in the house, so between our IP & my geek son, our internet is restored. Kab - I’m actually SE of you - very south part of Butler county - I can see the water tower of Udall from my house. I don’t think we got any hail. Just wind & rain. Today is supposed to be a nice break from the weather - I can actually see blue sky!!! Friday the storms start up again… sigh.

EMET, “Fellow Baby” is a reference to Dr. Johnny Fever’s listening audience on the 70’s comedy WKRP in Cincinnati. He called them Fellow Babies. On the BT, Dry and I greet each other by saying something like, Hi Fellow Baby. I would have thought that you would have picked up on that by now :-)

    Greetings ALL

I found the best way to do housework.

Open a new file in your PC. Name it “Housework.” 3.Send it to the Recycle Bin. Empty the Recycle Bin. Your PC will ask you, “Are you sure you want to delete Housework permanently?” Calmly answer “yes” and press mouse button firmly. Feel better?

That sounds good to me. I don’t have a name to credit that to, but it was in the last copy of “The Country Register.” That is a small newsletter type of paper for people who are interested in quilting and craftwork of sewing nature.

I would hate to have you inconvenienced by me having to hoist my legs for your easy access to the dust. You may simply leave upon completion of your task. Due compensation shall be sent when satisfaction is determined. Expect 3 weeks for payment to arrive. Postage may be due on arrival, in which case compensation shall be disbursed on next months pay stub. Oh, and please try to keep noise to a minimum. Thanks, Ladywolf! It wasn’t too bad at our place, didn’t even go to the basement, and no hail. Just rain & wind. Unfortunately, the basement leaked, & lighting fried the router, so we had some extra work to do. But we have been plenty safe the whole time. One Wichita truck driver was south of OKC and got a ride in a tornado along with his semi-truck. The truck landed on its side, but he was able to unbuckle his seat belt and climb out unscathed. He said he was doing a lot of praying as soon as he felt the truck start to shake. For some strange reason, he’s considering a career change now….

Hi, bmonk - I must be tired, because I’m not understanding how a coat of paint will help Cleo’s house.

We typically get our last seasonal tornado watch/warning around the 4th of July. Of course, they can come out of season, but that’s what is typical. I presume ND gets them in July & August?

Sorry about wrong location I guess I’m trying to move you else where and I don’t like moving. Weatherman states more rain for weekend just hope not to bad. Got to finally start a packet for scanning removing staples. Lot harder than I thought for my rt shoulder. Dr. was right it will be very slow on that scanning should be easier I hope. Place where I’m at the computer tech guys updated scanning to make it easier. Well I don’t want to hog the line. I tried at the top for bold see what happens. My shoulder is very tired/pain time for pills and shower soon bed. Not sure how long will take my shoulder to complete heal, my daughter found more knots under my arm to work on and my shoulder blade. Good night all. I hope you have nice chatting.

Ladywolf - That is one advantage of being married to a geek. We have a large supply of spare parts, but not always what we can use. I think we had used this router before, and then he put in the new one for some reason. (Probably thought it would speed up things, or something.)

Cleo - When we got married, someone (I believe a brother) got into our house and removed all the labels off of our canned goods. Of course, I’d heard of that prank, and wrote with a permanent marker on the bottom of the cans before we left a code for what were the contents. My brother thought he was smart, and brought over some additional cans. He took the labels off, and wrote some of the codes I used on the bottom of those cans. He failed to realize that I’m quite good at recognizing handwriting.

Dry I just found some cans of flourescent [sp?] paint that I can sneak in through the window in Cleo’s pantry. Do you think we should tell him that we found a big bunch of keys on the counter that just happen to fit the other doors? If you paint the walls, I’ll paint some murals around. I’ll even paint them pre-crooked. That’ll save him some time in trying to find just the right artwork. Isn’t he lucky to have such good friends as we are. Where’s JFri? He snould like to help us.
