I’ve got most of this HTML formatting down. It works in a similar manner when setting up a website from scratch.

Yesterday extending the list didn’t work on yesterday’s BT for me like Kab and others like Rmom. Today it’s working so far!

Pseudo – - If their defense holds together, I think Da Bulls can pull it off.Sometime the reply freezes for me. I refresh with the browser refresh(F5) and then it works the second time. Most times it will work the first time I try it though.

Extending list is working for me today. I wondered how many were having problems. I missed seeing everyone yesterday’s comments. Comments only went one page then stoped. I seen there were 86 and I missed out. Now I’m learning new stuff someone else has done. Did some of you contact GC. I did. I also let them know about changing aviator’s. They said they hadn’t gotten there yet.

Lonewolf, may I have some country fried steak, with over medium eggs, and lots of hash browns! Yum. Oh, and I’ll get my big sippy cup to fill up with DWFNC! Mornin’ Everyone!I’ve been reading all the posts so I can learn how to use the new GoComics……..and WE ALL sound like a bunch of negative people!!! ♠Lonewolf♠ – I use IE9 and it seems to work differently on photo link than what you said. If ♥Kab♥ doesn’t use Firefox I’ll try to write what I do – it’s more involved though. I’ll continue to try what you said.

♥Kab♥ – Try what ♠Lonewolf♠ said using the small photos without selecting one first. It should work.

Whoa! I wouldn’t use such a big picture. I don’t think Gocomics will like us using all of that bandwidth.

It doesn’t. Sometimes different browsers do things differently, just checking. I had my photo selected first and that doesn’t show the same thing. Now it will be easier for me also!

I did know I need to downsize. I’m going to remove this as way to big.

That’s what I was meaning, Sojo. I’ve done it with IE9 & Firefoz.

♠Lonewolf♠ – LOL That’s why I miss the edit button. Having to type with one finger, not always being able to control that, problems with double vision, poor with spelling and grammer I often see mistakes after I post. I think I’ll just leave posts the way they come out though.

Good thing MeBeGood isn’t here or she might get ideas from that!

pseudo – That’s what I usually do (or use to). The way photos work now you can type text before and/or after the photo without having to worry about it going to the side of the photo.

pseudo – Animations like that would have just a little over 4 times the size of a single photo that size I’m guessing. You can check the size of the final photo to see. I don’t know if the bandwidth is only for the final photo size or if it adds for each time it changes though (i.e. I’m an idiot about those things). Animated photos, or at least drawings, can be compressed so the final size is very small.

Being that animations are more than one photo, I would think that the bandwidth required is great than a still photo.

But it would use more than one still pic. No?

More easier. How does one just use blue words. Picture is nice to use. I majorly downsized. 192 comments so far.

In compressing common elements are elemenated so each pic can be very smajj, thet total size of the end product is then small. When displayed I would think the entire photo is loaded and that bandwidth is used when viewed. However, if it loads each pic one after the other as it’s viewed that would incress the bandwidth. The latter I doubt as the animation is linked as a one piece final photo, info for the compression would be part of it and would have to possibly use all pics at once in the dispay (i.e. the part of a new pic that’s the same uses the previous part of the pic, all parts af the animation may use what was on the first etc.)

Rmom – I know you can’t see this but some are on today that couldn’t get the rest of the comments to show. Hopefully you’ll get on soon! (And maybe there are things for you to do.)

I only see 124 comments thus far, excluding this one. The comments total does not update when you post or use GC refresh – only when I refresh page through my browser.

Wow! The load additional comments worked for today. It didn’t on yesterday’s. I guess I’ll have to read the comments at C&H, and also see if I can go back to read the rest of yesterday’s comments here. At least things are improving. Now, if they’d get that edit feature back – Grog – you aren’t the only one who sees their mistakes after they’re posted.

pseudo – There’s a lot in this area i don’t know. If only one pic from mine was saved it may be the way I made it or because I put in a long time between changes. As it was small to begin with and was only black and white I don’t remember if I compressed it but I think I did. Interesting.

Between lines to put a break the same as lower case br you can use a p (for paragraph).

One less letter to type!

From what I read compressing reduces the size and bandwidth it uses. Sometimes before and after is a lot of size reduction. As before, I just don’t know how it loads for web pages. (Although it did say compression was important for the web.)

If you look at the final photo steps with a photo editor of the last one when the text changes all that is on that pic after compression is the part of the red text that is different. It uses the main photo and parts of the text that don’t change. This shows that in a way it’s all connected as a single piece. It makes me wonder how it actually works on the web. Gives me something to learn when I have time.

^Me, too. I like that one. Comparing “Message Source” with the email, is an interesting course in HTML. The avatar problem seemed to start about the time the spacetime continuum ripped at Bloom County. The email seems to be keeping time but the ’toon at the site bounces around. It definitely predates the new bugs. Are we getting the comics.com ’toons here, or these there, or are the going to keep it like 2 TV channels with the same owner?

I hope someone (OldWolf, hint hint) will post the results somewhere….I miss the wayback button too. .I did (eventually) get to see the comments for yesterday. By using another computer and browser (IE, ver.8??). On Firefox 4.0.1 at least two times the “extra” comments have refused to load. Once they loaded the next day—maybe something offensive had been removed?.We live and learn.

It seems to be doing that at times.

But they post fast now…

When you make a formating mistake like I did it doesn’s show any buttons to the one that posted it.

I guess you’ld loose the edit button also if they had one.

My browser doesnt show them at all on mine or yours. There is a small extra bottom of a box under yours. must be the way my system displays it.

Adding a slash to the command and putting it at the end.

The first command tells it to start doing something. The command with the slash added tells it to stop doing it.

It’s a little cool and windy today. Also overcast but not too bad.

I see using * still works. Hey all asking on my mom good thoughts. I need to see if she will let me ask our church she gets a temper there. She has been fighting a bladder infection with bleeding for a long time been on meds a long time. Started with sinus infection, bladder infection with bleeding and then got a blood test done and her sugar level is borderline diabetic. She consummed too many cookies. She is way small then I am and 5’ 3 or 4". I’m taller and hurts to say heavier. She has lost some weight trying to stay thiner. My mom has started to eat better. She goes in two months for another blood test to see if blood sugar has gone down. She is on meds for this.

The condition I have mentioned has caused her speech to be somewhat garbled hard to understand. She then has to work to get her words right. I hope this changes as time goes. My mom is 86 now. She is not crippled and durn it I have to be careful of what I eat and I have to tell her she needs to eat evan peanut butter.

I’m not sure how long her blood sugar has been up bordering diabetes but the infection a long time.

Hi, friends! Since my oldest son is an HTML geek, if you can’t figure something out, I can ask him.

Went to Walmart with my son tonight (hubby still on business trip). I thought I was doing better, but I think I must have aged 30 or more years in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I didn’t think about taking my cane or using their electric scooter. My body tells me I’m elderly, now if my mind will warn me ahead of time!

Thanks, guys! Until they do something to fix what is causing my symptoms, I don’t expect to get really “well”. I thought I was doing pretty well, based on walking around inside the house, including going up and down the stairs. I knew some of my ill health would recovering from the cath procedure, and some would be getting rid of the diverticulitis. But it is my chest pains that I noticed tonight, which was the reason for doing the heart cath. Cardiologist appointment on the 26th. Until then (and probably for awhile after) I’ll just have to take it easy.

I thought the diverticulitis was possibly the cause of the chest pains. Do you possibly have a problem with acid reflux?

It was a problem for me sometimes, not lately.

Well, I’m sorry I missed all the fun today, but it was a rather busy work day. Now it’s a lot quieter but likely will pick up after I’m gone.
