Humphrey Gobark and Lauren Barkall! Made for each other! Humphrey is a sucker for purplie eye shadow, anyway, but this bond goes deeper. Sleeping together, in fact!
You should show you’re a hip, “with it,” cool chic chick of the new ’18s, @StillTheBelle, by giving Cleo some ink, some piercings, maybe a Mohawk, some vaping accoutrements, etc., etc., etc.
In the human version, Bogart plays Doghouse Reilly (how’s that for coincidence). I didn’t know that nor who Martha Vickers was until I saw this movie clip:

Welcome, everybody!
Nice evening for a stroll…..
let’s amble on down to the Tiki to post our comments on
the June 7th 2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”
Which you can read on Sherpa
http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy
What did you say, JRM6599?
My goodness… that was quite a squeal.
I haven’t seen you around here in such a long time….
but you still look like a teenager.
Excuse me…. but… is that Fred over there by the Newcombe’s window?
Fred! is that you?
Oh my goodness…. why is Rusty sitting on your ba….
Are you helping that dog peep into the house?
No wonder JRM was squealing!
I’m…. I’m not sure what to say….
I don’t want to seem like a prude, or anything, Fred…..
but do you really think that’s a good lesson for a dog?
Well… I’m on my way to the Tiki, meeting up with people along the way.
We’re going to be talking about a dog who’s sometimes rather naughty…..
but at least she doesn’t…. you know…. peep in people’s windows….
(I wonder whether I should mention this to Sheriff Monkeyblues…..)

It’s a film that had to happen.

Hi JRM! Or sould I say Ladies and JRMs. Dogs are not usually shy about gawking at whatever, but this level of conspiracy with a human is unusual.

Oooh….
“The Big Nap!”
Thank you, Stel!
I love Humphrey GoBark movies.
This one is sooo complicated. I remember being very confused by the plot….
but you couldn’t be confused when Gobark and Barkall were onscreen together.
They could barely keep their tails from wagging…
which of course, started all those tongues wagging in the public.
Actually, they were already mates….
even though she was still practically a puppy.
Did you know there was a human version, too?
Humans don’t nap as intently as dogs….
so they called theirs “The Big Sleep.”
The human female doesn’t even have purplie eye shadow.
What kind of glamour is that?

I have this tendency to let napping dogs lie, but this is the big nap. They’ll never wag again.

The Big Nap – sure to make you fall asleep. (I was going to say ‘sure to put you to sleep’ – but that just didn’t sound right)
