Prettyfeet, there is not much to change your assessment after 10 years.
Speaking of feet, notice that the above ankles meet the feet pretty close to the heel. This is an anomaly, as Ballardian ankle-foot connections have been evolving since 2005, in a Lamarkian way, to get closer to the middle of the foot. This has Augie’s Fine Footwear and Credit Repair in a tizzy trying to keep up!
And who is that in the recliner? While losing his tea, he maintains a firm grip on his pipe. He has a robe with fuzzy edges. And his wife, if he is lucky enough to have one, is out knitting Ballardian socks for the poor with her church group, Ballard Street Believers or Not.
I think this is the greatest poster! Love the goofy expressions on our favorite bassets! Those bug eyed, jowl flappin’ sweethearts are too much! Great job. Giggles galore!

OMG I hope nobody falls over in the Running of the Bassets! They will be licked into the next country! Great picture, guys! Get ’em, Cleo!

I just hope Cleo is the hero in her dreams. Who is chasing who in the Running of the Bassets? In the picture, it could go either way.

Sure, blame the recliner. I blame the user.

Okaaay…..
Last night I said my life was slowly getting back to normal…..
but the emphasis seems to be on the “slowly”…
sigh….
Anyway… I guess it must be that time of year again……
The Running of the Bassets.
Cleo is better off dreaming about it than participating.
It’s a dangerous, crowded, fast-paced environment, where every…. um…. wait….
we’re talking about basset hounds.
Never mind.
Stel…. sorry I didn’t get back to comment on your poster last night.
I love that one.
I wanted to say that I thought it was from a vintage stage version, and not the film….
but its first run was in 2016, so I couldn’t go back to see what I might have found out then….
and I was too tired to research it again, so I could be wrong.
Speaking of being wrong… (who, me?? )
I can explain about “July 8th” .. though of course, I wish I didn’t have to.
It wasn’t the first time I’ve done that….
As MaBrndt noted once when I did it before,
I keep a little text document of what could be called the “boiler plate” for my greeting….
including the strip title and date, and the link to Sherpa.
That way, I don’t have to type everything over every night… and I think there’s less risk of typos.
I copy it, paste it into the comment box, and make changes so it’s not always the same.
I especially have to edit the date before I post it.
When I’m really sleepy….
You get to see what it actually says in my saved document.
Oops.
Meanwhile…. I guess I’m too late to welcome you….
unless you’re not here yet….
in which case, HI!
And tonight we’re commenting on
the August 15th 2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”
Really!
