The first two panels are precisely what happened to me years ago when I was hired to do an art project. “Can you come back?” “Can you stay longer?” (Unspoken translation: “Can you draw until your hand cramps up and you can no longer see in focus?”) “I really need this all done right away.” What wasn’t said, but was implied was: “Oh, yeah. I’ll pay you. As soon as I finally get rich off of this.”
