Those “friendly” insurance agents are willing to try anything to avoid paying claims. You may ask, “Then why bother getting it?” Because the law clearly states that you can’t own a house or car without it!

P.1. Domestic bliss; P.3. not so blissful. Walt needs to run the tape out to the end, make a mark and then run it out some more and add up the measures for the total length.

I must admit, I have paid for damage to a car to avoid turning it in to the insurance company to avoid rate increases, but a few years ago our 17 year old car was totaled, and the company gave us much more money than it was worth!

I had a tree fall on my Cadillac convertible! Insurance wouldn’t pay! Said it was an act of god! Sleazy insurance companies!

I once went into my agents office and closed the door, I told him I’m not leaving until he admitted State Farm increases my rates just because they can. My car was old enough that the rates increased because it doesn’t have lane divergence and so forth, but if I bought a new car that had all that the rate would increase because it would cost more to repair. It took 45 minutes, but he finally cracked.
