At one time we had a pair of Rottweilers and the male particularly thought that any time we went out the garage door it was time for him to help get the paper or the mail. We had lever style doorknobs on the door leading to the garage and my wife had gone out to pick up a package. The male had watched us go in and out enough that he figured out how to jump slightly up and open the door so he could join her and lend his assistance. He did it several times, which would have probably been okay except he’d get excited and want to check you the neighborhood. I ruined the game when I replaced the lever style knob with a round one, stopping his antics.
There are city block long office buildings with a public hallway connecting to the doors at each end, which have provided a slight respite from the foul weather while I was out running errands. [no car!]

I’ve had dreams where I’m driving down a road and it goes thru a field or repair garage or a house, then back on a road again.

That’s what the neighbor gets from not locking his front door.

Odd thing, There is no lock or knob/handles on that door to keep Marm out.

Hasn’t he learned not to stand in the way of Marmaduke—-does he wish bodily injury ?
